Imphal, June 17 2017: "International Domestic Workers Day - 2017" was organised by Serrando Domestic Worker Alliance & National Domestic Worker Movement, Manipur and sponsored by Don Bosco Mando (German NGO) at Tribal Research Institute, Chingmeirong on 16 Jun 2017.The function was graced by Mr K Leishiyo, MLA Urkhul as Chief Guest and Mr Dominic as President of the function.

An Approximate strength of 305 domestic workers from Lamphel, Keishampat, Chingmeirong and Ukhrul attended the function.

6 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under aegis of HQ IGAR(South) provided lunch for all which was appreciated by the event organisers as well as the attendees.
