Imphal, May 16: Residents of Keishamthong Ahanthem Leikai have vehemently condemned the lathode bomb attack at the residence of Executive Engineer Ahanthem Tomchou this morning.

Informing that an emergency meeting was held at the locality's meira shed in connection with the attack, Nambul Mapal Youth Club in a release said among others the gathering resolved on condemning the act of violence and demanded clarification from groups concerned.

Stating that today's attack was preceded by small arm attack on three occasions earlier, the Club said participants in the meeting were unanimous in taking the matter with seriousness besides expressing that tolerance of the locals need not be tested further as there is possibility of the infuriated locals voicing their ire in a violent manner.

The Club also conveyed of the locals strongly decrying mental harassment meted out to them and fervently appealed to all concerned to refrain from such violent activities in the future.
