AR holds lung cancer awareness camp

Noney, August 02 2025: Assam Rifles organised a 'Lung Cancer - Myth vs Facts' awareness lecture on the occasion of World Lung Cancer Day at Tenkongjang village, Noney district on Friday.

The event aimed to educate locals, especially youths, about the causes, symptoms of lung cancer and preventive pleasures, with a special focus on the harmful effects ofsmoking and the importance of early detection.

A total of 34 villagers, including 14 man, 12 women and 8 children attended the lecture.

The initiative was well received by the community, with local leaders appreciating the efforts of AR in promoting health awareness in remote areas.
