Nitya Raas dance showcased at Kakching

Kakching, August 01 2025: Nitya Raas dance, a highlight of the 45-day workshop for young artistes, was showcased on Friday at Shree Shree Nityananda Mandir, Kakching Wairi Senapati Leikai.

The workshop was organised by Kunjalata Dance Performing and Research Centre, Kakching Wairi, under the sponsorship of Repertory Grant Scheme of the Ministry of Culture.

The function was attended by Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy visiting Guru and State Awardee Brajbashimayum Gopal Sharma, scholar Kshetrimayum Brajamohon Singh and Academy's visiting Guru and state awardee Lukram Manglembi Devi as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.

In addition to Nitya Raas, other performances included Chali Jagoi (group dance), Gouranga Nartan (classical solo dance) and Nupa Pala.
