Mentally unsound Hmar woman rescued

Imphal, January 30 2025: A mentally unsound woman belonging to the Hmar community was rescued by police from Nungchappi Khul under Jiribam police station on Wednesday.

According to a press note by Manipur Police Control Room, the police team found the woman wandering in Nungchappi Khul area on Wednesday.

The woman, identified as Lalpiengjo Hmar (37) of Moljol Khul, Jiribam district, has been handed over to her family members.
