Jiribam, August 26 2026:
Local clubs and organisations have declared a 48-hour bandh on Uchathol road from August 28 .
The bandh has been called denouncing the Government's failure to reconstruct the dilapidated road despite repeated appeals and agitation in the past, said Meira Paibis.
Emergency, fire, water, health and religious rituals will be exempted from the purview of the bandh, said Uchathol Pioneer Club president M Premchandra Singh.
