Annual Sports Fest begins

Imphal, February 26 2026: The 3rd Annual Sports Festival of Maichou Khongnangthaba Maheikol, located in Singjamei Waikhom Leikai, commenced today at the WAC Ground, Wangkhei Leikai.

The three-day festival was inaugurated after the school students conducted a march past and lit the ceremonial torch.

Principal of the school, Sanasam Basantakumar, stated that during the sports festival, students will compete in various indigenous sports.

He mentioned the sports meet is being organised with the objective of introducing traditional games like 'Yubi Lakpi' to the current generation of students and ensuring these games are preserved for future generations.
