Imphal, July 25 2024: The All Manipur Elementary School, Teachers' Association Zone-II (AMESTA-II) has appealed to the authorities concerned to release the pending funds of Mid-Day Meal scheme at the earliest.

In a release, AMESTA-II said that the funds of MidDay Meal scheme for the 2nd, 3rd & 4th Quarters of 2023 have not been released causing a lot of difficulties to the teachers & headmasters of Government schools in the State.

Stating that delay in releasing the fund allocation for the scheme has become the norm rather than an exception in the State, AMESTA-II urged the authorities concerned to look into the matter at the earliest.
