Imphal, October 24 2025: Transgender social activist Malem Thongam, who is on a bicycle journey to bring peace in Manipur, has reached Varanasi on day-23 covering 860 kilometres.

Malem started her journey to Manipur from Delhi's Qutub Minar.

At Varanasi, Malem was received by a team of police.

Malem said her solo journey on bicycle is to spread awareness about the situation in Manipur since the conflict broke out in May 3, 2023 .
