Kakching, January 22 2025: Sahitya Seva Samiti, Kakching has condoled the sudden demise of Manipur's reknowned writer, Sahitya Academy Awardee, Khumanthem Prakash.

The demise of Khumanthem Prakash is a great loss for Manipuri literature.

His departure will be a huge loss which cannot be filled, said Kshetri Bir, president of Sahitya Seva Samiti, Kakching in a condolence message.

As a mark of respect to late Khumanthem Prakash, a two-minute silence was observed and prayed for his soul to rest in eternal peace, the condolence note added.
