Demise of RK Singhajit condoled

Imphal, November 21 2024:
Kanglei Indigenous Martial Arts and Cultural Society (KIMACS) has condoled the untimely demise of RK Singhajit Singh, who played a crucial role in promoting Manipuri art and culture to the international level.
In a release, KIMACS general secretary RK Leninsana called RK Singhajit as real treasure of Manipur as the latter relentlessly worked for preservation and propagation of Manipuri dance, music, 'Thang-Ta' and 'Sankirtana' .
He also played a major role in inclusion of 'Sankirtana' in the list of the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, KIMACS said, while sharing the grief of the bereaved family.
