Imphal, February 20: The Paite Tribe Council, Jiri-Vangai Block has decried the inefficiency of the Public Distribution System (PDS) in Vangai Range, reports our Jiribam correspondent.

Secretary of the Council I Khaidokhup said that the PDS exists only for name sake in the said range depriving the benefits of the Government to the poverty stricken Paite populace residing in Vangai Range.

He also suggested that the Council must be taken into confidence if any Government project or scheme is to be implemented in Vangai Range as to execute such project o scheme in a transparent manner.
