Imphal, January 20 2022: On hearing the bail application of Gurumayum Birachandra Sharma @ Molecule (77) which was filed on health grounds, Imphal West Sessions Judge has directed the SP, MCJ, Sajiwa to produce the accused before the State Medical for further medical examination.

The Court has given directives to ascertain whether the accused i) needs immediate medical surgical intervention, ii) requires special treatment outside the jail, iii) or if the accused's health issues can be managed by conservative treatment within the jail.

The Court has further fixed January 31 for submission of the medical report and the next bail hearing.
