Imphal, December 19 2008: Chandel District Contractor's Association said that it would launch a general strike in Chandel district if the Government does not clear the due liabilities before Christmas.

The association said that it had completed the improvement works of the 16-km Pallel to Chandel road in October this year.

However, the Government has not cleared the due liabilities yet, the association added.
