Imphal, September 19 2024:
JNIMS nurses and other support staff of the government-run hospital have suspended for a week their No pay, No Work' strike, launched over non-payment of salaries for two months.
In a joint press release, JNIMS Trained Nurses' Association and AANTS informed that the strike has been put off for a week after assurances given by the authority concerned to release the salaries of July and August on September 19 and 23 respectively.
If the authority fails to translate the assurance into action, then the strike will resume from September 24 onwards, it stated.
