Imphal, June 17 2025:
A portion of National Highway-102 between Chikim village and Moreh College, about 3 km from Moreh police station, caved in on Monday following incessant rainfall, cutting off the highway for several hours.
Vehicular movement resumed late afternoon after locals assisted by others cleared the affected stretch by cutting into the hillside.
However, locals expressed concern that the highway could be cut off again unless department concerned takes up immediate and necessary measures to prevent further damage.
