Imphal, June 11 2024:
With the completion of the election process and the Model Code of Conduct lifted from the state, district magistrate of Imphal West has cancelled the earlier directive mandating all arms license holders in the district to deposit their firearms at their respective police stations.
An order issued on Tuesday said that arms license holders in Imphal West district are no longer required to deposit their arms.
