Thoubal, March 11 2025: Denouncing the arrest of village volunteers by security forces, Apunba Nupi Khunai Lamjing Meira Lup, Thoubal, (Nupi Khunai-2) staged a sit-in protest today at Nongpok Sekmai-Shikhong Keithel.

Speaking at the sideline of the protest, Oinam Sumati, secretary of Nupi Khunai-2 said that the village volunteers were forced to come out due to the authorities failure to protect the lives of the people and territory of Manipur.

She therefore appealed to the Central Government to work out an amicable solution to bring peace in the State.
