EKAL to hold Khamenlok memorial event

Imphal, June 10 2026: Eramdam Kanba Lup (EKAL) will observe the 3rd memorial ceremony on June 13 at Nongshum for the 10 martyrs who laid down their lives at Khamenlok on June 13, 2023 .

Speaking to the press at Nongshum, EKAL president Huiningsungbam Ibohanbi recalled that since May 3,2023, several fierce battles were fought against Kuki narcoterrorists, and Khamenlok was one of the major battlefields in defence of the motherland.

He appealed to the public to attend the floral tribute and urged that no bandh or blockade be imposed on the day so the programme can be held smoothly.
