Five hurt in road mishap

Jiribam, January 08 2011:
Atleast five persons have suffered injuries when the truck (AS-11B/2275) they were travelling on fell into a gorge near Kaiphundai village on the National Highway-53 this afternoon.
Among the five injured, condition of one seikhogin Singson (53) of Phaitol village in Tamenglong district is stated to be critical.
He has been referred/shifted to a hospital in Silchar (Assam) .
Troops of 22 Assam Rifles posted at Kaiphundai evacuated the injured persons from the accident site to CHC, Jiribam after all were administered first aid treatment.
Meanwhile, Kuki Inpi, Jiribam-Tamenglong Zone has conveyed gratitude to the Assam Rifles troops for extending help to
the injured persons.
