Imphal, July 07 2024: A eucalyptus (nashik) tree growing on the footpath of Kanglapat opposite Imphal Municipal Corporation (IMC) got uprooted on Sunday morning, bringing traffic in the area to a brief standstill.

The tree fell down around 10.30 am Sunday blocking movement of traffic along the Kanglapat road.

Teams of City PS, IMC and Forest Department arrived to help remove the fallen tree.

Later, an excavator (JCB) of IMC was used to remove the tree and vehicular traffic resumed from around 1 pm .
