Source: Chronicle News Service
Thoubal, July 01 2024:
Manipur Meitei-Pangal Welfare Organisation (MMWO) has urged authorities concerned to initiate thorough inquiry into the recent collapse of a bridge that claimed the life of a truck driver and left three injured, and to hold the contractor and the engineer engaged/assigned for construction of the new bridge accountable for the incident.
In a release, MMWO alleged that negligence of the contractor and department/authority concerned led to recent collapse of the bridge which had also faced similar incident twice during the construction period.
