Jiribam, March 27 2012: Denouncing the excessive conduct of Security Forces at Jiribam in recent days, Jiri Ima Meira Paibi Apunba Lup (JIMPAL) and Apunba Jiri Meira Paibi (AJMP) have organised a protest rally at Jiribam today.

The rally which started from AJMP office culminated at the ADC office where memorandum addressed to Chief Minister, Home Minister and SP Imphal East was submitted to ADC Jiribam.

Slogans such as "Withdraw Police Commandos and Assam Rifles from Jiribam", "Don't victimise innocent public" and "we want peace" were written on the playcards used by the protestors.

Around 200 people in and around Jiribam have participated in the protest rally.
