Imphal, June 25 2009:
The Ruangmei Zu Phuaum, RPL, (Rongmei Women Union) has extended relief material worth more than Rs 1 lakhs to the Zeliangrong refugees who have been displaced from North Cachar Hills District of Assam and are taking shelter at relief camps in Tousem, Mandeu and Aben villages of Tamenglong district, reports our Jiribam correspondent.
The relief materials mainly consist of cloths, utensils and edible items.
RPL president Mrs Panti has also expressed dissatisfaction over the apathy of State Health Department towards the refugees with regard to supply of medicines.
She said that the refugees have been facing acute shortage of medicines.
