TNL calls shutdown over killing of four civilians

Imphal, September 24 2026: The Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL) has called a 24-hour emergency total shutdown within its jurisdiction from 7 am tomorrow in protest against the killing of four civilians at Pilong in Kamjong district today.

In a statement issued today, TNL said the four were allegedly killed by KNA (B) and Kuki narco-terrorists at around 1.30 pm at Pilong, around 35 km from Kamjong headquarters.

Emergency services, including power supply, medical services, fire services, movement related to funeral and condolence programmes, and other essential services have been exempted from the purview of the! shutdown.
