Chandel, June 24 2017: The newly appointed Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) of Churachandpur Helen Lallienmawi invested money from her own pocket into the dilapidated ICDS office and transformed the office to a brand new one .

For over two weeks, she along with her family members renovated the ICDS office.

They painted the walls, cleaned cupboards, floors and even laid a new carpet, reports our correspondent .

Helen said, "We will be having proper attendance records and every staff will have to sign the register on a daily basis" .

With this transformation, the ICDS office in Churachandpur has become one of the best maintained offices in the district .
