Imphal, July 23 2025: Joining the rest of the country, All Manipur Democratic Women's Association (AMDWA) observed Captain Lakshmi Sahgal's Memorial Day and Save Democracy Day at its office premises in Paona Bazar, Imphal today.

The observance was attended by AMDWA president Chanambam Sundari Devi, Trade Union leader Kshetrimayum Shanta and other prominent leaders, members of AMDWA.

At the event, speakers shared that Captain Lakshmi Sahgal's Memorial Day is observed every year on July 23 to remember Captain Lakshmi Sahgal, a prominent figure in India's freedom struggle and a leader in the Left movement.
