WMC reaches out to Tronglaobi victims

Imphal, May 17 2026: The World Meetei Council (WMC), Manipur State Unit, on Sunday extended financial assistance to three men who were injured in the tragic incident at Tronglaobi on April 7 .

The beneficiaries are Ningthoujam Bijen Singh of Naransena Ward No 10; Oinam Romen Singh of Chandapur, Thanga; and Moirangthem Muba Singh of Moirang Konjengbam Leikai.

According to the Council, some of the injured are sole breadwinners of their families and require further surgery.

They are still recovering and unable to resume normal life.

WMC appealed to the Government to look into the immediate and long-term needs of the victims and extend necessary support for their rehabilitation.
