Imphal, January 15 2026: Labuktongbam Shyamdev (Shyamo) Memorial Award for the year 2026 has been conferred to Brajabashimayum Jugolchandra from Keishamthong Hodam Leirak and Maisnam Biramni Singha from Pallarbol Khulen, Cachar.

The award, given by Manipur Youth's Cultural Organisation (MYCO), recognizes outstanding contributions to Manipuri art and culture.

The awards were presented today during a function held at Rupmahal Theatre in BT Road.

It was attended by Lourembam Rameshwor Meetei, MLA, Keirao AC; Thiyam Jekendra, retired Professor, Manipur University; and Adhikarimayum Gitchandra Sharma, former head of Programme, Akashvani Imphal and other dignitaries.
