World Diabetes Day observed

Thoubal, November 14 2024: World Diabetes Day was observed today at two locations in Thoubal Awang Leikai and Heirok Part III today.

The ceremonies were jointly organised by Lions Club of Thoubal, Indian Red Cross Society Thoubal Branch, Bharat Vikas Parishad Thoubal Sakha, Humanity Service Foundation Heirok, Ningol Club Heirok and Star Club Thoubal Awang Leikai.

Held under the theme of "Breaking Barriers, Bringing Gaps", diabetes screening tests and blood pressure tests were the main highlights of the event.

Additionally, Dr Ksh Manglem, Dr Kh Robindro, Dr Kh Songarjit and Y Basanta, DPM, NHM Thoubal spoke at length on diabetes related topics and spread awareness among the public.
