Imphal, August 13 2026: Purvanchal Hills, Mongjam, Imphal East, organised the 2nd Open Patriotic Song Competition 2026 at Manipur Press Club, Majorkhul on Thursday.

35 male and female competitors from across Manipur took part.

The event was inaugurated by retired Primary Teacher Waikhom Nageshwor Meitei as chief guest.

Waikhom Ahanjao, former Headmaster of Achanbigei High School, and social worker Oinam Tombi attended as guests of honour.

Gurumayum Jenia won first prize.

Maibam Wilson, Laishram Sanatombi and Heishnam Borish shared second, while Poirei Meitei Moirangmayum secured third.
