Imphal, March 13: Sensing various needs of Tharon village of Tamenglong district, Manipur Peace and Integrity (MAPI) Council drew the attention of the Government to look into the requirements of this remote village.

Maintaining that road and health care facilities are deteriorating, MAPI Council asserted that the construction of tourist lodge at Tharon Khunjao is not yet completed which was started construction way back in 1998. Saying that Tharon has 160 households with 1300 villagers, the council also mentioned the need for attention in educational facilities of this 1300-year-old village.

MAPI Council also expressed gratitude to all who extended support in their free health camp conducted between March 7 and 10 at the village.
