Champu Khangpok Floating Welfare Committee elects office bearers

Moirang, July 11 2026: The Champu Khangpok Floating Welfare Committee has elected a new executive committee for the 2026-29 tenure.

The committee, which works for the welfare and development of Champu Khangpok Floating village, is comprised of 333 households, most of whom depend on farming for their livelihood.

The new office bearers were elected during a general body meeting held at Thanga Oinam Leikai on Saturday under the chairmanship of former president Khwairakpam Ibojao.

A total of 11 executive members were elected for a three-year term.

Haobijam Kumar was elected as president, Ningthoujam Ongbi Thasana as secretary, and Ningthoujam Ningol Oinam Ongbi Thambalshang Devi as finance secretary.
