Imphal, June 10 2025: Hearinga petition filed by Asem ongbi Guni, wife of arrested AT leader Asem Kanan, the High Court of Manipur has directed the State and the Central Government to file response and fixed July 8 for next hearing.

The petition was filed alleging Asem Kanan has been arrested and detained unlawfully without following due processes of the law.

Notably, Asem Kanan was arrested by the CBI on June 7 .
