Sit-in decries FIR against Imagi Meira leader

Imphal, August 07 2024: Keishampat Thiyam Leikai Chanura Chaokhat Thourang Lup has condemned registration of FIR against Imagi Meira leader Sujata, who has been persistently raising voice against disorder in the state due to attack on Meetei community by Kuki narco-terrorists since May 3, 2023 .

The Lup organised a sit-in-protest against registration of FIR against Sujata on Wednesday at the local community hall and strongly denounced government's action.

According to a statement of the Lup, attempt to arrest Sujata by registering FIR merely for raising people's voice is uncalled for and the FIR should be revoked immediately.
