Imphal, May 06:
The Phailengmol Area Chiefs Association, Sadar Hills has questioned the validity and legality over the March 11, 2008 order issued by the office of the Chairman of District Health Mission Society (DHMS), Senapati district in connection with National Rural Health Mission programme being implemented since August 2006 .
In a statement, Association secretary Khaikhokam Kipgen contended that there are many irregularities in sanctioning the area-wise stipulated financial grants and selection of villages.
Whereas in othrer hill districts like Ukhrul ad Churachandpur, all the villages concerned have been allotted ASHA, Maphou area villages and other parts of Sadar Hills have been left out from the programme, the secretary rued while drawing the attention of the Govt to look into the matter.
