Imphal, October 05 2025: Manipuri Theatre Academy (MATA), Wangoi and Wangoi Dramatic Union jointly organised a reception ceremony for two Sahitya Academy Awardee at the hall of Wangoi Dramatic Union today.

The ceremony was graced by Longjam Joykumar Singh, Chief Conservator of Forest; and renowned writer BK Wahengba as the chief guest & president respectively.

During the event, Bal Sahitya Puraskar awardee Mayengbam Shantomani Singh and Translation awardee Soibamcha Indrakumar were honoured with simple gifts as a mark of appreciation & encouragement.

MATA director Sarungbam Beeren was also present at the event.
