Imphal, June 03 2025:
Informing that Eid-Ul-Adha (Bakra Eid) festival falls on June 7, Manipur Meitei Pangal Welfare Organisation questioned rationale for RIMS, Imphal for not declaring the festival as a holiday.
In a release, MMWO secretary general Firoj Khan Sangomsumbam pointed out that the office circular issued by RIMS deputy director (Admn) made no mention about inclusion of the festival in the list of general or restricted holidays.
Questioning the hidden agenda, he appealed authorities concerned to look into the matter.
He further urged RIMS authority to make necessary arrangements and declare the festival as holiday.
