Police seize opium
Source: The Sangai Express

Imphal, April 28 2026: 51 kg of opium was seized at Leingangpokpi along National Highway 37 in Jiribam yesterday.

According to the police, the opium was being transported by two individuals-Sukhvinder Singh (30) from Punjab and Sandeep Singh Tilno (41) from Uttar Pradesh in a Tata truck.

Both individuals have been arrested.
