Imphal, February 25 2025:
Assam Rifles rescued a truck driver who lost control of his vehicle and plunged nearly 100 metres into a gorge near Gamphazol village in Khengjoi sub-division, Chandel district, on February 24.According to a PRO IGAR (S) release, the truck was brought to a stop after getting entangled in dense vegetation, leaving the driver trapped inside the severely damaged cabin with serious injuries.
Upon receiving the alert, Assam Rifles teams swiftly reached the spot, extricated the injured driver, and provided immediate medical assistance before evacuating him to District Hospital Chandel for urgent treatment, added
the release.
