Imphal, September 23 2025: State police and forest officials with the cooperation of Chairman of Khabung village conducted an aerial survey of poppy cultivation using drones at Upper and Lower Khabung village under Senapati district today.

Nearly 13 hectares of forest area was found to have been cleared for poppy cultivation, with some patches sown with poppy.

A stem warning was issued to the Chairman and instructed to destroy the sown poppy and prevent further poppy cultivation, said the Manipur Police Control Room.
