Zeliangrong civil bodies condemn violence

Imphal, April 22 2026: The Zeliangrong Civil Organisations (ZCOs), comprising the Zeliangrong Baudi, Manipur, Zeliangrong Youth Front (Manipur State Unit), and Zeliangrong Students' Union, Manipur, have expressed deep anguish and grave concern over the continuing violence and loss of innocent lives in Manipur.

In a joint press release issued on Wednesday, the organisations urged citizens to choose a path of dialogue, healing, and peaceful coexistence.

Emphasizing the responsibility of the present generation as custodians of the land, the ZCOs called for prioritizing reconciliation over conflict and unity over division.
