Imphal, February 21: The proscribed UNLF has claimed that five security personnel were killed while many others were injured in an ambush carried out the MPA at Muolvaikhup village near Kamjong sub-division of Ukhrul today at about 4.30 pm.

The MPA cadres did not suffer any casualty, claimed the outfit.

However on being contacted, PRO of AR Col Pant said that one personnel was injured while no one was killed.

He said the personnel has been admitted to the hospital and added that his condition is not critical.
