Imphal, November 19 2011: A 35 year old man was killed after he was knocked down by a water-tanker of 31 Assam Rifles at Moreh at around 7.30 am today.

A police source identified the deceased victim as one Haokhothang Paite (35) of Moreh Ward No 8 .

On the other hand, passenger of an auto-rickshaw was killed and its driver sustained injuries when it met with an accident all by itself at Mantripukhri along NH 2 at about 10.30 pm yesterday.

The victim who was killed on the spot has been identified as Thongam Pilot alias Anouba (35) of Kontha Khabam Lai Haraopham and the injured driver has been identified as Senjam England of the same locality.

England has been admitted in JNIMS.
