Kakching, November 17 2025: A one-day legal awareness for senior citizens was held today at the Senior Citizens Home in Kakching Wairi Panjao Pallum, organised by the Citizens' Forum, Kakching under the aegis of District Legal Services Authority, Thoubal.

The programme was graced by former Minister Nongmaithem Nimai, who now serves as president of Senior Citizens Forum Kakching as functional president.

During the programme, Advocate Zakir Hussain delivered insights on the topic of "The Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act 2007" .
