Free eye screening camp held at Yairipok Kekru

Thoubal, November 16 2025: A free one-day eye screening camp was conducted today at Yairipok Kekru Laimang Community Hall, organised by the Kekru Yairi Club Yairipok (KYCY), in collaboration with Dr Helena Eye Hospital and Institute, North AOC, Imphal.

During the camp, more than 100 individuals from Kekru village - including children, adults and elderly residents were examined for eye-related problems, by a medical team, led by Dr Chingkheinganbi Khundongbam of Dr Helena Eye Hospital and Institute.

During the camp, 5 individuals were identified as requiring surgical intervention.

The organisers informed that all expenses for these surgeries will be borne by Dr Helena Eye Hospital.
