Imphal, October 16 2024: The Mahabali Seba Committee and the Meira paibis of Mahabali held a sit-in protest today against the abduction of 3 persons and the coercion to sign papers to construct Mongba Hanba Temple at Mahabali mandir.

Speaking at the protest, Mahabali Seba committee member, Bachaspatimayum Sujalata Devi alleged that B Mani, president of Mahabali seba committee, general secretary Gotimayum Joykumar Sharma and Bachaspatimayum Guneshwar Sharma were abducted by unidentified persons on October 14 at around 3 pm and released at 8 pm on the same day.

The abductors did not harm them but were forced to sign the papers, it said.
