KRSU flays SFs' action

Imphal, January 13 2015: Komrem Students Union (Ghqs) has condemned the action of 2 Assam Rifles and Thoubal police commando personnel stationed at Sugnu who allegedly disturbed a marriage ceremony at Tousem Lamkhai village on January 6, according to a statement issued by the Union.

The combined team allegedly detained one Gopal Poaddar and his wife Jenevic Kom for more than 5 hours before handing the couple to Kakching police, said the statement.

Komrem Students Union (Ghqs) further stated that detaining individuals by the security forces for some personal matter and disturbing social events should be stopped.

It urged the authority concerned not to recur such activity.
