Imphal, June 11 2024: The High Court of Manipur has classified the entire State (Manipur) as Hill Area/Tough Location for the purpose of extending Hill Area/Tough Location allowance of Rs 5,000 per month to Manipur Judicial Service Officers with effect from January 1, 2016 in a notification issued in May this year.

The notification dated May 17, 2024 was issued by the Registrar General of the High Court of Manipur said.
