AR rescue six civilians from deep gorge

Imphal, March 08 2025: A Mahindra Pick-up vehicle with 10 passengers lost control and plunged into a deep gorge near Poi village in Ukhrul district on Saturday around 12:30 pm.

Responding immediately, a team from the AR, along with a medical unit, ensured the prompt evacuation and first aid treatment of six injured victims.

Unfortunately, four individuals, including the driver and three passengers, lost their lives on the spot.

Despite the challenging terrain, the AR team worked tirelessly to extricate the victims from the wreckage and provide critical medical assistance, a release by PRO, IGAR (S) said.
